Swansea Freshman Academy is offering Summer School beginning Monday. Hours are 8:30-12:30 Monday-Thursday, June 3-June 27 and July 8-11. If you have not registered, please complete the following link.

Swansea Girls Basketball will host summer basketball workouts for girls interested in playing basketball this upcoming school year starting on June 3rd at Swansea High Freshman Academy from 11:30-2. This opportunity is open to all ladies in grades 7th-12 looking to learn, grow, and develop their knowledge and skills in basketball. You must have an updated physical to participate on competition dates.

In our second annual field day, students enjoyed free hot dogs and chips, provided by the faculty and staff, dunking Mr. Solorzano and Ms. Askins in the dunking booth, playing Tug of War, and spraying each other with water cannons.
The Swansea Freshman Academy wants to thank Deli Wagon, Lovey's Treats and Kona Ice for coming to our Field Day. Our students loved being able to purchase your food.

Congratulations to our three finalists for Swansea Freshman Academy Support Staff of the Year -- Tramaine Hartwell, Sabrina Leysath, and Catherine Skipper! They Lead, Learn, Serve, and Excel at an exemplary level, and we appreciate all they do for Lexington Four! The SHS Chamber Concert will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. The location for the concert is the Lexington Four Performing Arts Center. Please come out for an evening of great music!
This week we showered our teachers with muffins, candy, Chick-fil-a, snacks, iced coffees and a Beta Club fueled breakfast! We love our awesome SHFA teachers and staff!

On May 6, our students had the amazing privilege of listening to Alex Kor, son of Holocaust survivors Mickey and Eva Kor, talk about his parents and how they survived. Our students had read Surviving the Angel of Death, Eva Moses Kor's compelling memoir, in English 1. We appreciate this opportunity provided by the Columbia Holocaust Education Commission.

Congratulations to our Men's Soccer team as they kicked off the playoffs with an 8-0 victory over Darlington in the first round. Freshmen Brian Munoz, Manuel Flores, Oscar Espinosa, and Miguel Santos each contributed with a goal apiece. With this victory, Swansea secures the opportunity to host Hanahan in the second round of the SCHSL Playoffs on Wednesday.
