Please note, the WIDA testing schedule has been altered due to tomorrow's delay. Here are the new dates:
February 5: Listening
February 10: Reading
February 12: Writing
February 18-20: Speaking

2 Hour Delay -- February 3, 2026
Schools will operate on a two-hour delay to allow buses, parents, staff, and students to travel during daylight hours for increased visibility of road conditions.
All school operations will be delayed by two hours, including transportation services. Students and staff should report to their schools two hours later than their usual start time. The car rider line will start at 10 AM.
All schools will follow a normal schedule for the remainder of the day. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Lexington Four will transition to an eLearning day for all schools, Monday, February 2, 2026.
A winter storm warning for the area continues through Sunday morning with the potential for a significant accumulation of snow. Very cold temperatures are expected overnight Sunday into Monday which will freeze any remaining surface water. The National Weather Service forecasts that travel conditions will likely remain hazardous through Monday mid-morning. Lexington 4 is making a decision today in order to give families additional time to prepare.
Teachers have posted E-Learning assignments in Google Classroom. To be marked present for the e-Learning day, your child must complete all assignments by Friday, February 6.
All weekend activities are canceled. Also, after-school activities and athletics are cancelled for Monday. Please be safe and stay warm!

The Mr. Swansean Pageant, sponsored by the Lexington 4 BETA Booster Club, is coming up on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 6:00 PM and is open to male students in grades 6–12.
Contestants will compete in:

🎤 On-Stage Question
🤵 Snazzy Wear
Plus optional titles like Mr. People’s Choice, Mr. Photogenic, and Mr. Entrepreneur.
All proceeds support Lexington 4 BETA Clubs!

Last Wednesday, students created their own procedures to see how exercise impacts cellular respiration rates. Once they create their steps, they tested them to see if their hypothesis was correct. Several students enjoyed showing off their exercising skills.

Yesterday, students had the opportunity to participate in the Be Pro Be Proud mobile experience. Students participated in simulations for welding, commercial truck driving, installing brake pads, operating an excavator, and virtual reality plumbing, electricity, HVAC, and construction.
