CSX is closing the following railroad crossings in Gaston and Swansea on Tuesday, Sept 5, 2023 starting at 9am. The crossings will reopen on Fri, Sept 8th at 5pm, except for North 2nd Street which will reopen on September 7, so IW Hutto can then close because these two areas are detours for each other.

Gaston, Wood Trail Rd- S 373.38
Swansea, N 2nd St- S 380.36- THIS CROSSING WILL OPEN BACK ON THE MORNING OF SEPTEMBER 7 BEFORE IW HUTTO CAN CLOSE.
Swansea, I W Hutto- S 378.25- THIS CROSSING WILL CLOSE ON SEPTEMBER 7 ONCE NORTH 2ND ST IS REOPENED ON THE MORNING OF SEPT 7TH.

Our Support Staff of the Month is Yosell Mays. Mr. Mays provides technological support at SFA and other district campuses. He works quietly behind the scenes, but his commitment is seen every day. In Earth Science today, students completed a lab on how to collect and process data by counting the number of licks that it took to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.
Lex4 - 8/30 - Lex4 will transition to an eLearning day for all schools, Thursday, Aug 31, 2023.
After consultation with emergency management, the National Weather Service, and other districts, we will transition from a delayed start to eLearning tomorrow (Thursday).

Due to the threat of inclement weather, Lexington 4 schools will dismiss early on Wednesday, 8/30 and operate on a 2-hour delay Thursday, 8/31.
SFA: Students who normally attend SHS for P.M. classes (engineering, color guard, band, and chorus) will remain on SFA's campus; students will not travel for classes Wednesday, August 30.
