Advanced Course Offerings
Swansea High School offers various Advanced Placement (AP) courses that give students an opportunity to take college-level courses and exams while still in high school. Students are exposed to prescribed curricula developed by the College Board. Students who achieve scores at an acceptable level on the AP examination are eligible to receive college credit from participating institutions.

Swansea High School students are able to earn college credit while simultaneously meeting high school graduation requirements. Students typically take two college-level courses per semester (6 credit hours), taught by an approved Midlands Technical College instructor.
