Congratulations to our Students of the Quarter! These students were selected by their teachers for best representing Habit 3: Participate. These are students who are consistently engaged, listening and following directions in their classrooms. At the ECC, we PARTICIPATE! We listen and follow directions!
Sole Stepping visited the ECC today, gifting each child a new pair of shoes and socks! We're grateful for their generous donations and the amazing volunteers who helped our students choose their perfect fit.
Next week we're having our annual holiday spirit week!
Educators can use attendance to assess how well they are doing with engaging families & their children. Absences drop when families understand what their children are learning while also feeling welcome & supported.

3K families, do not forget about our next Parenting Partners session on Monday, October 28th!
ECC Parents & Guardians,
Letters went home this week to notify you if your child has been identified as chronically absent. These letters will go home at the end of each quarter in an attempt to reduce our school's chronic absenteeism rate. Prior to the pandemic, 8 million students were affected by chronic absence. Today chronic absence has more than doubled. In many cases, absences from school are unavoidable due to health problems or other circumstances. However, chronic absenteeism, no matter its cause, can have a drastic impact on a student's education. The good news is that chronic absences can be significantly reduced when schools, families, and community partners work together to monitor data, nurture a culture of engagement, promote regular attendance and routines, and address hurdles that keep children from attending school every day. Let's partner together to make sure our students are PRESENT every day at school!
3K Families,
We are excited to offer our 3K Parenting Partners workshops this school year! This is a series of 4 workshops designed to empower you with practical tools to support your child academically, emotionally, and socially. Each workshop also includes an opportunity for you to engage in a fun craft activity with your child! Please join us for our first workshop this Monday, October 21st here at the ECC from 8:00-10:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
